National Ballooning Hall of Fame

Mike & Rozanne Emich

The National Balloon Museum Ballooning Hall of Fame is the highest honor bestowed by the Balloon Federation of America. Northeast Ohio Pilot, and founding NOBPA member, Mike Emich has set three national records (two hot air, one gas) and two world hot air balloon records, all in balloons of his own making. Mike is a past recipient of the FAI Gold Badge with One Diamond, the Shields-Trauger Award, the Ed Yost Master Pilot Award, the Achievement Award from The Lighter-Than-Air Society, the P. Rendall Brown Lifetime Achievement Award, a BFA Director’s Award, the Gail Myers Founder’s Award, and countless other honors. Mike prepares meticulously for every flight and always conducts himself with the utmost safety. He is the very model of NOBPA’s mission promoting ballooning “Safety through Education”. With all the other credentials to his name, NOBPA is beyond proud to congratulate Pilot Mike Emich as the latest inductee into the National Balloon Museum Hall of Fame!
